Your planning answers help A Date Atlas find suitable experiences. Core draft answers are kept in your browser tab for one hour. Personal notes, free-text preferences and chat messages are left out of new browser drafts; review these when you return. You can clear a draft from the planner's close menu.
Generated planning context is held privately in Firebase for one hour so you can reopen your date and finish signing in. Short-lived request records prevent duplicate generation. Saved plans and dates are associated with your account when you choose to save or create an invitation. Preferences you explicitly save in Profile remain on your device until you clear them.
Gender questions are optional. These answers provide context for personalization and are excluded from shared plan links and invitation details.
Location suggestions use your browser's location permission. Chat can suggest your city automatically if access is already allowed, or you can choose “Use my location” to request it. Coordinates are sent to our server and Google Geocoding to identify your city and neighborhood. A Date Atlas does not save your precise device coordinates. Confirm the suggested city before using it in your plan, or type a different city.
Selected areas and relevant place types are sent to Google Maps and Places for nearby suggestions. Place details are retrieved live. Planning preferences may be sent to DeepSeek for personalization; exact device coordinates are not included in that request.
Voice input is optional and starts only when you tap the microphone and allow access. Your browser's speech-recognition service processes audio and may send it to its provider. A Date Atlas does not store an audio recording. The transcript stays in the message box for you to review and edit; it is sent through the planner chat only when you press Send. Voice support depends on your browser and device settings.
Google Maps features are subject to the Google Privacy Policy. New invitation links show the selected venue, day, time and a date preview. They omit private answers and account details. Anyone with the link can view and respond; the creator can revoke access from My dates.
We record basic actions such as finishing a plan, saving and opening an invitation to understand failures and improve the journey. A short-lived, pseudonymous journey identifier connects these actions to measure completion and pauses at each question. We also collect anonymous loading, responsiveness and layout-shift measurements, grouped by mobile or desktop and public page type. These event records contain no questionnaire text, email addresses, raw account identifiers, private link tokens or URL queries and are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Only administrators can view aggregate journey and performance reports. Structured reports of inaccurate venue details are also scheduled for deletion after 30 days.
Google Analytics runs automatically on the production website to measure visits and a limited set of planning actions. Google receives cookie-based visitor identifiers and basic device information. We exclude chat messages, planning answers, account identifiers, precise coordinates, private link tokens and URL query parameters from these events. Advertising features and automatic form, search and click tracking are disabled. Google processes analytics data under its Privacy Policy.
You can rename, edit or delete saved dates in My dates and remove device preferences in Profile. Changing a saved date rechecks its venue and revokes the previous invitation. Older device-only plans are imported into an account only after you review and select them.
Feedback stays in your private account. We ask whether the date happened before collecting enjoyment and cost feedback. We do not publish this as a review or testimonial. Invitation recipients can deliberately propose another time; the creator must review and save it before publishing a new invitation.
In Profile, open Manage account to request account deletion. You can withdraw the request until an administrator begins processing it. Processing disables account access and public invitations, then removes the account, private plans, saved dates, feedback and invitation records. This is a reviewed request, not an instant deletion promise. A minimal completion receipt without your email or account identifier is scheduled for removal after 30 days.
Deletion policies run asynchronously. Short-lived planning records are also checked for expiry when accessed. Saved account records remain until you delete them or account deletion is processed. Google, Firebase and DeepSeek may process data in other countries under their own service terms; a downloadable calendar file is created only when you request one and does not grant access to your calendar account.
